Born in Staffordshire in 1969, Carl discovered his talent for sculpture while studying surface pattern design, after taking on a commission that revealed his natural gift. He went on to qualify in Figurative Sculpture, building a career defined by exceptional craftsmanship and striking artistic vision.
His impressive portfolio includes high-profile commissions like King George and Queen Mary for the Queen Mary 2 cruise ship, Torvill and Dean for a public monument, and legendary footballers such as George Best and Bobby Moore for private collectors. His most celebrated piece, the Sir Stanley Matthews statue at Britannia Stadium, was voted the best sporting statue in Europe.
