Mr. Brainwash: The Pop Art Provocateur

French street artist Mr. Brainwash (Thierry Guetta) shot to fame through his collaboration with Banksy in the 2010 documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop, which he filmed and starred in. His signature style—a bold fusion of street art and pop culture—draws inspiration from icons like Andy Warhol, Keith Haring, and Banksy, blending familiar imagery with a fresh, rebellious edge.

His 2008 debut exhibition, Life is Beautiful, saw five-figure sales and earned praise from Banksy. A year later, Madonna commissioned him for her Celebration album cover. In 2010, his Charlie Chaplin Pink sold for $122,500 at auction, cementing his place in the art world. Based in Los Angeles, Mr. Brainwash continues to blur the lines between high art and mass appeal, making his work accessible, energetic, and unforgettable.
