Born in Mirfield, Yorkshire, Nigel Cooke has art in his blood. After an adventurous start in the Merchant Navy, he carved out a creative path as a caricaturist and entertainer, working everywhere from Butlins to Blackpool Pier and even designing characters for Hong Kong-based C.I.M International.
Drawing on years of travel and observation, Nigel evolved his craft into fine art, developing his now-iconic “drippy” style—vibrant, textured cityscapes filled with movement, detail, and atmosphere. His distinctive works have gained international acclaim, with collectors across the UK, USA, and Far East. Today, Nigel stands as one of the UK’s most recognisable and sought-after contemporary artists.
