Sarah is a versatile Dorset based artist who boasts a wide portfolio of contemporary mixed-media landscapes and still life abstracts. Specialising mainly in acrylic, Sarah also uses multimedia techniques such as ink, wax, pastels, charcoal and varied illustrative pens. When working in a large-scale she often combines spray-paint as her main medium. Sarah’s work is fun, bright and viewed as powerful and dramatic. Her paintings always display interesting colour combinations. Sarah is a firm fan of using bright neon tones as an undertone and highlight throughout her work. Sarah is fascinated by England’s seasons, how the different light affects colour on the landscape, and the changing weather in the local area, especially the storms! This inspires her use of colour and layers for her unique abstract compositions within the Dorset area. When working in still-life Sarah loves to create playful and vibrant paintings using natural shapes, creating fun mark making techniques to bring out the unique ‘quirks’ of the subject!
