Born in 1986 in Barnet, North London, Ben Jeffery developed a love for art early on, inspired by his grandfather’s connection to renowned watercolourist John Varley. His passion grew through school portrait challenges and later into formal study, though his distinctive technique is largely self-taught.
Working primarily in oils, Ben creates vivid, detailed works that blend realism with a modern, imaginative edge. His process is intuitive and layered—building colour, light, and texture to bring each piece to life. Influenced by film, sci-fi, and the dramatic landscapes of Herefordshire and the Isle of Harris, Ben’s art captures both bold creativity and emotional depth.
