For nearly 20 years, Hudson has drawn inspiration from the wild beauty of the Sussex coast, capturing the movement and light of land, sea, and sky in her expressive seascapes. Blending realism and abstraction, her unique style features multi-layered impasto mark-making, applied with palette knives and unconventional tools like newspaper and rags.

Originally inspired by the rugged coastlines of Cornwall, Hudson’s work continues to reflect her love of wild, haunting landscapes. Whether working in her seafront studio or painting on location, she aims to convey the rhythm of the sea and the energy of a moment while leaving interpretation open to the viewer.

With pieces displayed in galleries across southern England, her work has gained recognition from notable figures, including designer Katharine Pooley, and has been collected by celebrities such as Karen Millen and Jack Dee. Her paintings have also raised thousands for cancer charities through auctions.
