Frank Pretorius

Frank Pretorius is a UK-based contemporary artist whose work blends the precision of design with the emotion of storytelling. Born in South Africa in 1974, his lifelong connection to nature continues to inspire his expressive paintings of wildlife, classic cars, and horses.

Originally trained in graphic design, fine art, and filmmaking, Frank spent over two decades in advertising and film before returning to his first love—painting. His background in visual storytelling now informs his artistic style, capturing movement, depth, and cinematic energy on canvas.

Since committing to painting full-time in 2018, Frank’s work has been exhibited at Contemporary Art Fairs Windsor and featured in Explorers Against Extinction’s annual “Sketch for Survival” exhibition. He currently lives and paints in Windsor, Berkshire.
