Bernard: Vivid Seascapes in Motion

Spanish artist Bernard masterfully blends impressionism and abstraction to create luminous, painterly seascapes. Using bold color, sweeping brushstrokes, and rich textures, he captures the rhythm of the sea without rigid lines. His signature style features fluid blue backdrops of sky and water, contrasted by semi-abstract boats rendered as vibrant mosaics of ochre, magenta, and soft green.

Born in Alicante in 1964, Bernard grew up surrounded by art and the ocean. Studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Alcoi, he naturally gravitated toward seascapes, inspired by a lifelong passion for sailing.

"I wanted to convey the exhilaration of racing across the sea—the wind, the shifting light, the taste of salt in the air. Every painting is a celebration of that experience."
